Instruments included didgeridoos, slide guitars, stomp boxes, djembe drums, slit drums, and the harmonica. “I’ve always had a tonne of respect for The Cat Empire guys since the start. Featuring guitar, bass, drums, percussion, keys, horns, flute, saxophone and backing vocals, the aptly titled Xavier Rudd & the United Nations bands together. Rather than inviting guest artists to join him on the record, Rudd performed all the instrumentation for the album alone with only a few overdubs. He’s been busy playing sold-out shows across Europe, but he’s happy to be playing back on home soil. For the tour, Rudd will be teaming with Bobby Alu on drums and Ant Aggs on keys to form a funky trio. 'Twist' is a solid reggae number that contemplates one's relationships with one's friends, with Tolley on drums as Rudd plays everything else: slide on an 11-string Weissenborn, his stomp box, and harmonica.
