Also, the character customisation is pretty insane - you have a lot of options on how to build your character. The characters are cool, you can have up to a party of 6 I believe. It's also quite frustrating at times, and some game systems work differently than D:OS2.

The story is pretty good, but I think some of the side-missions really make the game. The definitive edition came out on PS4, and it comes with a turn-based mode (when I played it on PC, it was Real Time with Pause). The game also had a lot of bugs at launch, and still quite a few when I played in 2020. I won't go into too much depth, but it is a great RPG with lots of options on how to play. Pillars 2 - You sail around the ocean in a ship, you can hire new crew members and upgrade the ship, the cannons, sails etc. Pillars 1 - You manage an old keep, clear it out, repair it, explore the massive dungeon beneath. I started my second playthrough with a Rogue/Monk - but you can do this with literally any class.īut yeah, I think the side missions are better than the main story more often than not - and theres a good chunk of those to play through.īoth of the games also have a little bit of management involved.
